Le ministre d’Etat, secrétaire général de la Présidence, Kiridi Bangoura, dans un point de presse, a officiellement annoncé la démission du gouvernement Youla. Il a indiqué que le président Alpha Condé a accepté cette démission avant de demander au gouvernement sortant de s’occuper des « affaires courantes » en attendant le nouveau gouvernement.
